Marco-Polo-Tower HafenCity Hamburg

Als großer Fan der HafenCity in Hamburg habe ich heute nocheinmal in meinem Photoarchiv gekramt und einen schönen Blick auf den Marco-Polo-Tower gefunde. Die Fassade des von den Behnisch Architekten kreierten Gebäudes am Strandkai fasziniert mich und bietet endlose Möglichkeiten für Detailaufnahmen. Zwei Perspektiven habe ich hier im Photoblog schonmal gezeigt am 10.03.2010 und am 01.06.2010 gezeigt.

As a great fan of the new area in Hamburg, the HafenCity, I looked today through the archive of my photos and found a wonderful view of the Marco-Polo-Tower. The face of the building, that was planned by the architect Behnisch, offers endless possibilites for detailed pictures. I already showed to of them here in my photoblog on the 10.03.2010 and the 01.06.2010.

Software: Camera Raw (sharpening) | Photoshop CS5 (deleting elements) | NikSoftware Color Efex Pro (Duplex), Output sharpening, contrast

Gefällt mir richtig gut die Aufnahme. Toll ins Bild gesetzt und eine schön gleichmäßige Ausleuchtung.

Das freut mich sehr! Der MPT ist auch eine meiner Lieblingsarchitekturen, weil er so vielfältige Gesichter hat, wenn man die Position ändert.

Wow – that’s a fantastic image with a very powerful composition. I love the tension between the strong architectural lines and the playfulness of the delicate cloud in the sky.

Hi Nathan, thank you. This photo is no HDR. I emphasized the contrasts – maybe trough that the sky became a bit darker around the building. I made that area a bit lighter now

Great perspective here. Not sure if I totally like what sems like HDR remnants around the top of the building (there is a dark fuzzy blur around the edge), but that is just personal preference, and perhaps it is natural but just doesn’t look it.
